Basement Installation

Basement installation of the indoor batting and pitching practice net is more permanent than garage door installation, because it requires drilling holes or installing J-screws in the support beams of the ceiling.  Once the J-screws are securely installed in the support beams, the grommets can be attached to the J-screws and the Hitzem net will hang from the ceiling.  J-screws are not included.

Storage

  • Close the garage door. Remove the sandbags and spread out the baseball practice net.

  • Hook the two grommets on the outside edge of the net onto the corresponding J-hooks.

  • Roll the center of the net toward the garage door and up to the vinyl sleeve.  Wrap the bottom of the sleeve around the rolled net.

  • Hook the middle grommet at the bottom of the sleeve to the middle J-hook at the top of the sleeve.

  • Roll up the two sides of  the net and tuck them into the pocket made by the vinyl sleeve.  Secure the fastening  tabs together at the top of the sleeve.

What’s in the Box?
1 Net (7.5 lbs), 3 12-inch fastening straps, 3 2-inch J-hooks, 2 unfilled sandbags
Note: Model HZ 100 is designed to fit a double garage door that is 16 feet wide. The indoor baseball practice net can be attached to either the hinges or the horizontal struts (hurricane braces) that are on most garage doors. If the hinges on your garage door do not line up with the grommets on the net, the practice net should be attached to the horizontal strut.
